Meet the Board
MORII Community Center’s Board of Directors is comprised of community advocates who provide the organization with strategic vision and oversight that ensures the organization is fulfilling its mission.
Ray Forrest
Ray is the co-founder of MORII Community Center.
He is an extreme wealth of knowledge and creativity. From starting multiple small businesses, including Merit Home Maintenance and Audio Addictive Entertainment, Inc. Ray has a unique skillset at the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship.
He also led youth groups as a sports coach, a mentor to youth in community-based behavioral health centers, and a program advisor to kids in after school programs at Francis-Bradley elementary school.
In addition, Ray is a Per Scholas IT training graduate and now elevates his IT skills as a mainframe engineer.
Ray brings his unbridled passion for music, the trades, information technology, and youth development to the vision of Difference Driven.
Brianna Gorman
Brianna serves as the co-founder of MORII Community Center.
Prior to leading efforts in the nonprofit space, Brianna was engaged in chronic disease and HIV prevention research at the University of South Carolina Columbia and the University of North Carolina Charlotte, respectively. She also led food insecurity meal packaging and fundraising events with the Rise Against Hunger organization. Additionally, she has years of experience in community engagement, health policy research, and program/project management. Brianna is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and holds an MPH from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
Currently, Brianna is pursuing a 200-hr Yoga Teacher Certification and will bring this holistic practice to the youth engaged in the Difference Driven programs.
Overall, Brianna’s passion for holistic health draws from her experiences in the healthcare system, her lived experience leading public health initiatives, her connection to community members, and her acknowledgement of the systems perpetuating disparities.
Lorenzo (Zo) Clark
A seasoned executive with over two decades of leadership and several years of Board experience. Currently, he serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Sales at Windstream, a leading telecommunications firm.
Before Windstream, Zo was the CEO of Front Row Fantasy Sports, where he led the innovative company to industry prominence and spent a decade leading sales at Red Ventures.
Remarkably, Zo transitioned from a football career with the Carolina Panthers to business, leveraging his sports discipline and teamwork skills to excel in the corporate world. He holds a BBA and Management education from Harvard Business School Executive Education and Grambling State University.
In addition to his professional achievements, Zo is an active mentor with MicroMentor, supporting small businesses in Charlotte. His journey from the football field to the boardroom exemplifies his leadership, adaptability, and commitment to excellence.
Kiara Davis
Kiara Davis, a seasoned public health professional, brings a wealth of experience to the table. With six years of public health education and an additional six years as a healthcare nursing assistant, she’s a force to be reckoned with. Kiara’s passion lies in mentoring the next generation of health professionals. Her guidance empowers young adults to dream big and make a difference in their communities. Beyond her public health endeavors, Kiara expresses herself through pour paint art and crafting. From vibrant paintings to thought-provoking sculptures, she finds inspiration at the intersection of community health practice and creativity. Whether she’s designing training programs or attending public health conferences, her commitment to making an impact knows no bounds. And yes, her passport is well-stamped! Kiara’s compassion extends to aging adults. Her work in health education ensures that everyone, regardless of age, has access to vital health information. She looks forward to serving on the MORII board of directors!
Kendrick Cunningham
Kendrick is a strong Government Relations Expert and community organizer! As a human rights leader, he empowers communities by helping people share their lived experiences, aligning strategic partnerships, and securing resources to elevate community initiatives. Kendrick brings his innate passion for youth development and amplifying Black and Brown communities to the sustainability strategy for Difference Driven.
